WASH Training: RC Daund Completes Global Grant Project with 116 Toilet Blocks in Hanumannagar Slum Area The Rotary Club of Daund, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Sunnyvale from the USA, completed a Global Grant project that involved constructing 116 toilet blocks in the Hanumannagar slum area. To ensure the sustainability of this initiative, RC Daund also provided beneficiaries with essential training on proper toilet usage and maintenance. This training, named WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), was conducted by Srushti Consultancy. The WASH training focused on educating the community about the importance of hygiene, teaching them how to use and keep the new toilets clean. This initiative aims to prevent the spread of diseases and improve overall public health. The training sessions were designed to be practical and accessible, ensuring that all residents could easily understand and implement the hygiene practices. By combining infrastructure development with comprehensive hygiene education, RC Daund has taken a holistic approach to improving sanitation in Hanumannagar. This dual strategy highlights the club's commitment to sustainable development and community well-being, making a lasting positive impact on the lives of the slum's residents.
