To create a significant impact on society, the Rotary Club of Daund organized the Daund Rising Marathon on 10th February 2024. Approximately 5000 people participated, including runners from outside Maharashtra. The marathon featured 3 KM, 5 KM, and 21 KM categories, certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). Participants ranged from children to senior citizens, with a notable number of women participants, highlighting the event's focus on women's empowerment. Some runners aimed to win prize money to cover their family's medical expenses, contributing to the economic development of the community. Members from Rotary Clubs of Indapur, Bhigwan, Baramati, and Patas, along with around 200 Rotarians from various clubs, also participated. The marathon successfully promoted health, fitness, and social support, making it a noteworthy event for the region.
